29 Weeks Along...

I didn't post a picture last week, so here's two weeks later.  Shane was pretty busy; I think he was on call 4 out of the 7 days last week and wasn't home to take a picture.  By the time we were able to take a picture, I figured we only have a few days until our 29 week picture anyway, so we'll just wait.  Lots has happened though!  First of all, I'm anxiously awaiting the results of my 3 hour glucose test in hopes that it comes back just fine.  I bombed the pre-screening test at my 28 week dr.visit, so they made me go back in this weekend for the 3 hour one....not fun!  Shane was sweet and went with me so I wouldn't have to wait there all morning by myself.  After it was all over, he took me out to lunch and treated me to a DQ blizzard for being such a good patient.  :)  So appropriate after a glucose test, right?!  haha!  It did bring back sweet memories from my childhood of Gramps (my grandfather) always treating me to ice cream from DQ after a dr's appt.  I thought back to all the many wonderful memories I have of Gramps and in those memories I saw how much he really loved me.  It made me smile seeing my husband carry on a tradition he didn't even know existed and that I had long forgotten about until now.  We'll for sure be doing this with our son now too! :)
Also, Shane and I started our childbirth classes a few weeks ago.  We go every Tuesday night up until mid-March.  We are really enjoying them and they are really helping us get prepared for welcoming our little man into our lives very soon!  We are just so excited....I can't even explain in words!  I'm feeling great!  No complaints whatsoever!  Hope this message finds you all doing well!
Hugs, jenny :)

  1. I so look forward to seeing your weekly picture...and your adorable growing belly! I'm sorry you had to do the 3-hour test. I didn't have to with Barrett, but I've heard it's no fun. Mostly just the waiting!! Very sweet that you have brought back a tradition you shared with your Gramps. A DQ Blizzard makes everything better! You will love taking your son one of these days!

Enjoy your childbirth classes...there is just something so special about going to those with your hubby, when you're so excited about the arrival of your first baby! Lots to learn :)
